• US Air Force- 1978 Military Working Dog Handler- Graduated MWD program, Lackland AFB Texas.

• Supplier to West Palm Beach P.D. since 1989. Have provided dogs to many Police Departments since that time: Hillsbourough County, Tampa, Riviera Beach, Lowndes County, GA, Department of Defense

• Have Imported German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Dobermans from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Hungary, Czech and Slovak Republics since 1985. I go to Europe at least twice a year and hand pick dogs for clients & Police Departments.

• Ted & Dawn Hoppe owned an In Home Dog Training company for 5 years, Perfect Pet Companions, where they solved obedience & behavior problems as well as In Home Protection Dog Training.

• Owned a commercial boarding & training kennel, Gatorland K-9 and K-9 Bodyguards, one of South Florida’s largest Training Centers

• Owner of Demanet USA Importer-of the Demanet Bite Suit.

• Founder and Creator of American Street Ring-A practical system of protection dog training.

• Through the years Ted has trained hundreds of dogs and handlers for obedience and personal/family protection.

• Has personally trained and titled dogs in American Street Ring and Schutzhund and studied all of the major protection dog sports of Europe.

• Ted Hoppe is best known both Nationally & Internationally for creating American Street Ring, a unique system/ hybrid of Military, Police K-9, KNPV, Belgian and French Ring and practical protection training. It is a true, original American system recognized as the most practical system ever conceived.

Dawn Hoppe

• 1984 - Owned my first dog, a wonderful Doberman Pinscher named Raven, as my  Protection Dog while attending the University of Florida.

• 1986 - Worked for Canine Counselors, an In Home Dog Training company in South Florida. Taught housebreaking, obedience, behavior problem solving and protection training to clients in their home.

• 1988 - Incorporated Perfect Pet Companions as a Franchise In Home Dog Training company. Supervised 4 trainers.

• Owned GatorlandK9 and K-9 Bodyguards in South Florida with Ted.

• 1996 - Delivered our first Service and Protection Dog for Women to a client in California. See our Blog Entry on Pyschiatric Service Dogs for Women with PTSD.

• Currently in charge of the website/marketing and oversees the Health & Well Being of all of the humans, dogs and various other animals on Hoppe's Hollow.

RJ Hoppe

• RJ Hoppe has a deep love for dogs and is a natural trainer, he has grown up understanding the dogs' needs from a young age.  He is extremely helpful in maintaining their Health & Well Being here at GatorlandK9.

• 2010 - Actively assisted in the training of WPB Police K9.  Demonstrated advanced obedience and protection training with his dog, Tebow.  Look for more information on Tebow in the Blog and on the Website under Protection Dogs.

• RJ is an exceptional athlete and a gifted decoy. He has been observing Ted and will be following us with American Street Ring and K-9 Bodyguards.

• 2011- Receives his first Custom Demanet Bitesuit ( above)  and becomes VP of DemanetUSA. Look for our Decoy training videos with Ted & RJ.

• 2011- Looking to the future- RJ will be making his first trip to Europe to assist in Custom Selecting Dogs for our clients as well as beginning the training for our delivery service.  He is active in all aspects of our business.  We are fortunate to have him as a member of our family and team at GatorlandK9.

Brad Hoppe

• Brad Hoppe is the youngest member of our team at GatorlandK9.  He takes a special interest in the puppies and loves to play with them and make them feel extra Loved!  Stay tuned for more adventures of Brad Hoppe as his brothers await his debut 'in the kennel' !  Wow, Brad is doing the 3 dogs & was great with our last litter of puppies. Brad is now happy to be on the team.
